P.eng Rowhee Bhutta

Rowhee Bhutta, P.Eng, is a seasoned metallurgist with extensive experience in the steel and mining industries. Currently serving as a Senior Customer Metallurgist and Senior Metallurgist at Algoma Steel Inc. since October 2017, Rowhee oversees the quality of steel production at the Cold Mill Complex and has successfully redesigned annealing systems to enhance product quality. Prior to this role, Rowhee worked at Hudbay Minerals Inc. as a Metallurgist EIT, focusing on metals accounting, process monitoring, and safety training, achieving significant annual cost savings through process improvements. Earlier experiences include metallurgical roles at Taseko: Gibraltar Mine and BBA, where Rowhee contributed to various projects and reports. Rowhee holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from McGill University and has completed multiple co-op positions, including as a Sales Associate and Junior IT Consultant.
