Jaap Pieroen

Jaap Pieroen has over 15 years of experience in the field of business intelligence and data engineering. Jaap has held various roles in different companies, including Essent, MAAS International BV, Miko Group, CNS International, Pieroen Solutions, CFS, and Geerts Callcenter Services.

At Essent, they currently serve as a Senior Data Engineer & Technical Team Lead, leading the transformation of the reporting environment and driving innovative solutions and opportunities.

Previously, at MAAS International BV, Pieroen worked as a Business Intelligence Manager, leading the migration to a modern Power BI setup and collaborating with C-level executives to deploy business-supporting dashboards.

As a Business Intelligence Manager at Miko Group, they implemented a Power BI reporting environment for the entire company, playing a crucial role in cost and margin management and enhancing customer satisfaction.

During their time at CNS International, Pieroen worked as a Business Intelligence Engineer, responsible for designing and implementing an Azure data mart with Power BI reports and developing a turnkey data warehousing solution.

Jaap also has experience as the owner of Pieroen Solutions and as a Business Intelligence Specialist at CFS. Additionally, they worked as a Database Administrator at Geerts Callcenter Services.

Pieroen's skills include Power BI, Azure, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, T-SQL, DAX, MDX, PowerShell, VB, and ETL processes.

Jaap Pieroen attended Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 2004 to 2006, where they pursued a degree in Business Informatics. Jaap then went on to study at Open Universiteit from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a degree in Informatics.
