Christopher Watford has had a long and varied career in the tech and medical fields. Christopher began their professional journey in 2007 as a Lead Software Engineer and EMT at GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy. In 2010, they became a Volunteer EMT at GE Power & Water. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Board Member, Volunteer EMS Captain, and Volunteer EMS Lieutenant at the Leland Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department. In 2011, they started working as a Paramedic for New Hanover Regional Medical Center and as a Continuing Education Instructor at Brunswick Community College. In 2017, they became a Part-time EMS Instructor at Cape Fear Community College. In 2021, they began working as a Chief Technology Officer and Advisory Board Member at Essential Personnel and as a Principal Architect and Technical Architect at Suzy. Christopher also became a Senior Editor at the EMS 12-Lead Blog and Podcast in 2011. Throughout their career, Christopher has been responsible for designing and delivering backend architecture, providing technical advice, leading and mentoring teams, and performing emergency care.
