Basant Sahoo

Basant Sahoo has over 14 years of work experience. Basant began their career in 2005 as an Assistant Systems Engineer at TCS, where they were involved in development, onsite coordination, requirement analysis, technical design, and leading teams in software development aspects. In 2007, they moved to AXA UK as an eCommerce Senior Application Developer. In 2010, they worked as a Project Intern at Standard Chartered Bank, where they analyzed the economic impact of Masdar project in Abu Dhabi and explored possible industries and opportunities for financing SMEs related to the Masdar project. Basant also suggested market entry strategies to SCB. That same year, they joined Karvy Capital as a Quantitative Analyst/Senior Associate. In 2012, they moved to Goldman Sachs as an Associate. In 2015, they became a Business Analysis Manager/Data Scientist at GSN Games. In 2017, they were hired as an Associate Director - Data Science at WNS Global Services. Currently, they are a Co-Founder at Essenvia.

Basant Sahoo attended SP Jain Center of Management, Dubai/Singapore from 2009 to 2010, where they earned a Global MBA in Finance (Advanced Corporate Finance and Banking Management). Prior to that, they attended College of Engineering & Technology, Bhubaneswar from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
