Ellen Maton

Ellen Maton currently serves as the Water Quality Team Leader at Essex & Suffolk Water since September 2018, and as a Water Quality Scientist at the Institute of Water since April 2023, where Ellen also holds the role of Young Persons’ Network Representative for the Eastern Area. Previously, Ellen was the Young Persons’ Network Vice Representative (Eastern Area) at the Institute of Water from October 2020 to April 2022. Additionally, Ellen has been a dedicated volunteer with Essex Wildlife Trust since 2013, engaging in public and corporate events, including guided walks and activities for children. Before this, Ellen worked as a Systems Manager and Information Analyst at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from June 2014 to September 2018, overseeing respiratory and cardiology systems, and has experience in clerical support roles within the hospital. Ellen holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Plymouth and has served as a Biological Sciences Student Ambassador in 2017.
