Nicholas Clay

Nicholas Clay has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several roles and companies. Nicholas is currently the Co-Founder and CTO at esteemed.ai, a position they started in December 2022.

Prior to this, Nicholas served as the CTO and Founder of Fourfire AI from 2012 onwards. In this role, they mentored and led a startup technology team, focusing on various areas including growth, team building, business strategy, product design and development, AI and ML solution development, blockchain and crypto development, and cloud service architecture and operations. Nicholas successfully completed multiple projects, including ML fintech data analysis, AI design and cloud architecture for a B2B SaaS project, blockchain design for a fintech startup, augmented reality project for a real estate company, and machine learning cloud service for user and product recommendations for a social media startup.

From 2020 to 2021, Nicholas worked as the CTO and Head of Technology at HomeHero, where they established a new technology vision and business opportunity for the property-tech company. Nicholas built and mentored a technology team and developed a new platform incorporating AI, ML, and other technologies.

Beginning in 2017, Nicholas held the role of Head of Technology (CTO) at AiCure. Here, they led the development of large-scale cloud and mobile B2B solutions utilizing AI, ML, and big data. Nicholas was responsible for sourcing, hiring, and mentoring new staff, and designed and implemented technology strategy and new cloud architecture.

In 2016, Nicholas briefly served as the Head of Technology at Codecademy.

From 2012 to 2015, they held the position of Co-Founder, President, and CTO at XPLR Software Inc. Here, they co-founded and led a team in developing AI and machine learning-driven cloud services (SaaS) for various applications, including text and document analysis, natural language processing, image recognition, and video analysis.

Earlier in their career, Nicholas served as the CEO and Technologist at Digicine, where they were responsible for business and technical strategy, product development, and operations. Nicholas also held the role of SVP Technology and Business Strategy, Digital Cinema at DTS, Inc. and worked as the CEO and EVP Technology at Avica.

Nicholas's career began at Microsoft in 1994, where they held the role of Director in various capacities, such as architecture development and professional media authoring technology.

Throughout their career, Nicholas has gained extensive experience in AI, ML, blockchain, cloud service architecture, and various technologies and platforms, and has successfully led and mentored teams in developing innovative solutions.

Nicholas Clay obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Kingston University. The start and end years of their education are not specified.
