Kunshan Sun

Kunshan Sun is a Principal Scientist at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. since December 2018, focusing on method development, new technology scouting, and formulation. Prior experience includes serving as Lead Scientist at Momentive from October 2011 to December 2018, where Kunshan led a global team in developing innovative silicone products for hair and created new intellectual property related to reactive chemistry for hair color protection. Earlier roles included Product Development Chemist, specializing in silicone emulsions and applications in skin and hair care. Kunshan's educational background includes a Postdoctoral Associate degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a PhD from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science in Molecular Engineering from the National University of Singapore, and two Master's degrees and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Zhejiang University.
