Rebecca Hernández Gomis has a diverse work experience. Rebecca is currently a Podcast Host at New Books Network en español since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Customer Service Agent at Estrid starting in February 2022. From November 2019 to February 2020, they served as a Project Assistant at Factor - Ideas for change, where they worked on technical projects and high-level policy design and consulting. One of their notable achievements was assisting in the revision of Trinidad and Tobago's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). Rebecca also worked on various renewable energy projects in South Africa and Africa. From November 2017 to May 2019, Rebecca was a Duty Manager at BOUNCEinc, where they supervised and managed venue operations. In 2018, they worked as a Project Assistant at the University of Gothenburg, conducting research on qanats in Afghanistan and planning a summer school for young refugees. Their early work experience includes a role as a Production Assistant at Sistema Radiofónico Universidad de Costa Rica from August 2011 to March 2012.

Rebecca Hernández Gomis has a diverse education history. Rebecca obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR in 2014. In the same year, they also obtained the TOEFL certification from ETS. Rebecca then pursued further education and completed a Master of Science degree in Natural Resources and Environment from Czech University of Life Sciences Prague from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, they completed a one-semester program in Hispanic and Latin American Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics, General from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2012. In 2019, they obtained the Deutsch Kurs C1 certification from die deutSCHule. Continuing their education in the field of photography, they completed a Fine Art Photography Training course from Neue Schule für Fotografie from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Rebecca is working towards a Master's degree in Latin American Studies from Stockholm University, which they are expected to complete in 2023. In 2009, they also obtained the DELF B2 certification from Alliance Française.
