Mayra Portillo

Mayra Portillo's work experience includes:

- Mayra currently works at Esusu as a Lifecycle Marketing Manager, focusing on retention and engagement. Mayra started in January 2023 and is still employed there.

- From July 2020 to December 2022, Mayra was the Head of Community and Culture at Ready To Succeed. Mayra achieved significant revenue growth, increased engagement, and maintained low attrition rates through various marketing strategies.

- Mayra previously worked at Ready To Succeed LA as a Program Coordinator. During their time there (2018-2020), they increased partner organizations, doubled the number of clients served, and was involved in the formation of a 501(c)3 startup.

- Mayra also has experience as a Chain Sales Representative at E. & J. Gallo Winery, where they achieved revenue and account growth from 2014 to 2017.

- Mayra started their career as a Communications Intern at Rockefeller Brothers Fund in 2013, assisting with a special project and managing contractor engagements.

- In 2012, Mayra was a Business Development Fellow at Blue Kitabu, where they created a sustainable business model for a primary school in Kenya and proposed income-generating plans to reduce reliance on government funds.

Mayra Portillo completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations Global Business from the University of Southern California in 2014. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications in Fundraising: How to Connect with Donors from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in May 2017, and Design Kit: The Course for Human-Centered Design from IDEO.org in February 2017.
