Alireza Akrami

Alireza Akrami is a Senior Power Engineer at ETAP - Operation Technology, Inc. since September 2022, where responsibilities include product management, group testing management, and software development, with expertise in reliability assessment, techno-economic analysis, voltage stability, cable derating, cable pulling, and ground grid systems. Prior to this role, Alireza served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Riverside from September 2018 to August 2022, focusing on enhancing situational awareness in low-observable power distribution systems and also assisted in teaching courses related to smart grids and optimization techniques. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant position at the University of Tehran, where research involved the application of PMUs at the distribution level, coupled with teaching roles in electric machinery and power system dynamics. Alireza holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside, a Master's degree in Power Systems Engineering from the University of Tehran, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
