Senior Power Engineer at ETAP

Brighton Bunyan, P.E., MSEE, is a Senior Power Engineer at ETAP - Operation Technology, Inc. since January 2019, focusing on the design and development of the ETAP microgrid controller and its control logics. Previously, Brighton served as a Research Assistant at Washington State University from August 2014 to April 2019, specializing in power electronics converters and wind turbine systems. Notably, Brighton interned as a Power Systems Engineer at Tesla from February 2018 to December 2018, where contributions included the design of the Tesla Powerpack energy storage systems’ EMTDC model. Earlier, Brighton was a Research Assistant at Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.
