Leonard Shen

Leonard Shen is the current advisor at Ethena. Prior to joining Ethena, they served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Visa from October 2014 to October 2020. Leonard was also the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at PayPal from September 2010 to October 2014. Before that, they worked at HomeFirst Services of Santa Clara County.

Shen has been recognized as one of the top people leaders across Visa and has been named Best Compliance and Ethics Program in the country (Large cap) by Corporate Secretary three times (2017, 2018, 2020). Leonard has also been named one of World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019).

Shen completed their undergraduate degree at Harvard University, where they studied history and literature. Leonard then went on to complete their J.D. at Harvard Law School.
