Eric Couillard

Eric Couillard has a diverse work history. Eric started in 2010 as an Internet Analyst at Danwei.org and then worked as a Senior Translator at China Development Brief from 2011 to 2013. In the same year, they joined Google as an Account Manager and Personal Development Trainer until 2013. After that, Eric served as a Program Assistant at the Center for Chinese Studies from 2009 to 2011. In 2013, they began working as a Product Development Specialist at Taiji Zen, where they managed the company's blog and helped develop its mindfulness curriculum. From 2013 to 2015, Eric also worked as an Action Actor on a freelance basis. In 2016, they transitioned to become a Leadership Coach at Sounding Board, Inc. Currently, Eric is the Owner of Eric Couillard Coaching LLC and will assume the role of Executive Coach and Trainer at Droste Group starting in 2023.

Eric Couillard earned their Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Studies and Chinese Studies from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. In 2010, they also had the opportunity to participate in a study abroad program at Beijing Foreign Studies University, focusing on China's contemporary issues. In terms of additional certifications, Eric obtained a Certified Professional Coach credential from Leadership that Works in December 2015. Eric also holds an A Class Instructor License from the International Spochan Association, International Self Defense Federation, and Corporate Aggregate Japan Spochan Association, which they obtained in April 2015. Moreover, Eric has obtained several other certifications, including a Climate Reality Leadership certification from The Climate Reality Project in October 2017, a Global Leadership Assessment (GLA360) certification from Global Coach Group in August 2020, a HIPAA Secure Now certification from HIPAA Secure Now! in April 2021, a Benchmarks 360 Assessment certification from the Center for Creative Leadership in February 2023, and a Sounding Board 1:1 Leadership Coach certification from Sounding Board, Inc. in May 2023.
