John Zhu

John Zhu has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. John currently works as the Director of Software Engineering at Ethoca, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this role, John was a Cloud Architect at Ethoca from June 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining Ethoca, John worked at RBC from 2015 to 2020, where they held various positions. John served as a Cloud Architect from November 2018 to June 2020, where they played a key role in enabling Azure as a platform at RBC and worked on multiple aspects of platform design and implementation. Prior to that, they were an Application Architect from May 2018 to October 2018, where they worked closely with development teams to modernize applications for new platforms. John also worked as a Development Manager, Technical Team Lead, and Sr. Technical System Analyst during their time at RBC.

In 2014 and 2015, John completed a Business & Professional Studies Certificate in Management of Enterprise Data Analytics at the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto. Additionally, John has obtained several certifications from Microsoft, including the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert in November 2019.
