David spent the early part of his career in retail banking, commercial banking, and private equity. As a partner at Carlyle International and Atlantic Partners, he raised and invested private capital into a variety of businesses, including real estate, technology, and manufacturing. In 1997 he founded Web.com, a full-service digital marketing company that grew into a $2.2B company with over 20 brands and 3M small and medium sized business customers. During his 20 years as CEO, he led the business through several large acquisitions, product launches and business launches. He has 40 years of investment and corporate C-level experience.
