Christa Marting

Christa Marting is the President & CEO of ETIC. Christa has over 25 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. Christa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Christa began their career in environmental consulting at Pacific Environmental Group, Inc. in 1990. Christa was promoted to Program Manager in 1992 and was responsible for managing a major petroleum company client. Christa created project tracking and data management systems, negotiated and tracked budgets, developed field protocols, and prepared and implemented health and safety protocols. Christa also supervised and managed field personnel and subcontractors, coordinated and directed meetings and presentations, and grew the small office.

In 1994, Christa left Pacific Environmental Group to join EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. as a Program Manager. Christa was responsible for the program management of a portfolio of major petroleum company sites. Her responsibilities included ensuring compliance with all client and regulatory requirements, overseeing soil and groundwater investigations and remediation, interfacing with regulatory agencies, and supervising staff on various project teams. Christa also oversaw technical and administrative staff compliance and training, coordinated staff participation in a variety of projects, ensured staff compliance with company procedures and protocols, implemented health and safety protocols, and tracked project progress.

Christa has been with ETIC since 1998 and has served as President & CEO since 2006. Under their leadership, ETIC has become one of the largest environmental consulting firms in the United States with over 1,000 employees in 30 offices nationwide. Christa is a thought leader in the environmental consulting industry and is frequently asked to speak at industry events.

Christa has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from California State University - East Bay and a degree in Geology/Earth Science, General from Humboldt State University.
