Vignetta Charles has an extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the nonprofit sector. Vignetta currently serves as a Member Board of Directors at OCHIN, Inc. and Chair Of The Board Of Directors at BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective). Vignetta also serves on the Board Of Directors for The Well Project, dfusion Inc., and Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE). In 2020, they co-founded Chief, a private network focused on empowering senior women leaders. Previously, they held executive positions at ETR, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Science Officer. Vignetta also served as a Board member for SIECUS and held leadership roles at AIDS United and National AIDS Fund.
Vignetta Charles completed their Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, Berkeley from 1993 to 1997. Vignetta then pursued a Masters degree in Health and Social Behavior at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 2001 to 2003. Later, they obtained a PhD in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University spanning from 2005 to 2009. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Vignetta also attended Henry M. Gunn Senior High School.
