Amit Jayakaran

Amit Jayakaran has a diverse work experience spanning over the last two decades. Amit began their career as a Mechatronics Course Grader at the University of Florida in 2002. Amit then moved on to become a Technical Support member in the Center for Intelligent Transportation Systems Technology at the same university. Amit furthered their research experience as a Research Assistant from 2002 to 2003.

In 2004, Amit joined GE as an Engineer, where they worked on modeling the pitch control system of wind turbines and the development of the next generation of dishwashers. Amit stayed with the company until 2007.

From 2007 to 2008, Amit worked at National Instruments as an Application Engineer and Field Technical Consultant. Amit was responsible for configuring system solutions for customers and building a new customer base.

Amit then joined Cal-Bay Systems in 2008 as a Project Lead/Overseas Development Lead. During their tenure, they developed and supported end of line testers for electric power systems and engineered automation based on LabVIEW.

Most recently, Amit has been working at eTrac Inc. since 2014 as their Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, they served as a Project Lead from 2012 to 2013.

Overall, Amit Jayakaran has acquired a diverse skill set within various industries, ranging from research and development to engineering and technical support.

Amit Jayakaran pursued their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Amit first attended the College of Engineering Guindy in Chennai from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree. Later, they enrolled at the University of Florida from 2001 to 2003, where they earned their Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Alongside their academic qualifications, Amit also obtained additional certifications. Amit became a Certified LabVIEW Architect through the National Instruments in December 2010 and gained the Six Sigma Certified Green Belt from General Electric in April 2005.
