Roberto Scano

Roberto Scano is an experienced ICT accessibility expert currently serving as an ICT selected accessibility expert at ETSI, where responsibilities include coordinating the revision process of EN 301 549 and engaging relevant stakeholders. Additionally, Scano works as a national expert for the AccessibleEU Project, contributing to the European Commission’s Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030. With a background as the owner of a consultancy since 2002, and roles at Ergoproject Srl, Accredia, CEN, and the International Web Association, Scano has significantly contributed to the standardization of digital competencies and ICT professionalism. As a member of the Web Accessibility Directive Expert Group, Scano has been involved in defining support documents for the European web accessibility directive. Previous positions at the Italian Digital Agency focused on technical standardization and monitoring of accessibility regulations.
