Matthew Nelson

Matthew Nelson is an experienced professional with a diverse background in technical, creative, and engineering roles spanning several prestigious organizations. Currently serving as an Associate Technical Director at Disney Live Entertainment, Matthew engages in research for automated show element fabrication. At Walt Disney Imagineering, Matthew contributes as an Animatronic Illusion Fabricator and previously worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Facilities Engineer. Matthew holds fellowships with the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center and MIT, specializing in deep learning and social justice initiatives. Earlier roles at Zenith Insurance, Universal Studios Hollywood, Deloitte, and UC Berkeley involved graphic design, cyber security analysis, and engineering tasks.
