Xiaoming Zhang

Xiaoming Zhang has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Xiaoming co-founded Eumentis Therapeutics Inc. in 2019 and served as an advisor there. In 2020, they joined Vincerx Pharma as the Chief Technical Officer until August 2022. Prior to that, Xiaoming worked as a Venture Partner at Velocity Pharmaceutical Development from 2011 to 2020. Xiaoming held the position of Senior Vice President, CMC & Nonclinical at Menlo Therapeutics from 2015 to 2020. Xiaoming was also a co-founder of Theron Pharmaceuticals from 2009 to 2015. Xiaoming has held various roles at companies such as Comentis, Inc (Senior Director from 2005 to 2010), Portola Pharmaceuticals (Director of Medicinal Chemistry from 2003 to 2005), Millennium Pharmaceuticals (Director of Medicinal Chemistry from 2002 to 2003), ARYx Therapeutics (Director of Medicinal Chemistry from 2001 to 2002), and Roche Pharmaceuticals (Research Scientist II & Program Leader from 1996 to 2001).

Xiaoming Zhang obtained their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Maryland, which they pursued from 1988 to 1992. Following this, from 1992 to 1994, they enrolled as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in Organic Chemistry.
