Aydin Ciliv has extensive work experience in audit, finance, and project management. Aydin started their career in 1994 as the Assistant General Manager Benelux Market at Holcim Belgium, a position they held until 2001. Aydin then joined Georgia-Pacific Services SNC as a Senior Internal Auditor from 2001 to 2003. In 2004, Ciliv worked as a Project Controller at Galileo Joint Undertaking until 2006. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Contracts Officer at the European GNSS Supervisory Authority. Ciliv then joined EUMETSAT, where they held various roles including Deputy Financial Controller from 2010 to 2016, Financial Control & Internal Audit Manager from 2016 to 2019, and currently serves as the Deputy Head of Internal Audit.
Aydin Ciliv obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration and Management, General from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, where they studied from 1986 to 1993. Before that, they completed their baccalauréat degree at the Lycée Français de Belgique, attending from 1974 to 1986. Additionally, Aydin Ciliv has obtained several certifications in the field of risk management and auditing over the years, including the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certification in Control Self-Assessment, Certification in Risk Management Assurance, and Certified Internal Auditor. Aydin obtained these certifications from various institutions, including ISACA and The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., in different years starting from 2013 and continuing through 2022.
