Giordano Bruni has a diverse work experience in the field of instrument engineering and management. Giordano started their career in 2008 as an Electronics Designer at Goldenote, where they designed CD players and audio amplifiers. Giordano then joined Selex ES (now Selex Galileo) in 2008 as a Payload/Instrument System Engineer, working on the SLSTR instrument for ESA's Sentinel-3 mission. In this role, they managed the Cryocooler System and Black Body Sub-Systems and provided engineering support for interface management and EMC control and tests.
In 2013, Bruni joined OHB System as a Payload System Engineer and later became the Instrument Architect for the IRS Payload in the EUMETSAT/ESA "MTG" program. Giordano was responsible for the instrument's internal and external interfaces, focusing on the mechanical, thermal, and optical architecture of the instrument interferometer and detection assembly.
Alongside their role at OHB System, Bruni also worked at Sapienza Consulting as an MHS and NOAA Instrument Engineer from 2017 to 2018. Giordano then joined EUMETSAT in the same position and was later promoted to Instrument Systems Manager, starting in January 2023.
Throughout their career, Bruni has demonstrated expertise in instrument engineering and management, with a strong focus on ensuring the functionality and efficiency of various instruments in different programs and missions.
Giordano Bruni pursued their education at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from 2002 to 2005. Following this, they furthered their studies at the same university and received a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, specializing in the field of Science from 2005 to 2007.
