Jordi Duatis

Jordi Duatis has had a diverse range of work experiences in the aerospace industry. Jordi started their career at Sener in 2000, where they held various roles including Project Manager and Project Director. During this time, they were involved in software management, resource planning, financial management, and team management. Jordi also worked on the Energetic Particles Detector instrument for the Solar Orbiter.

In 2016, Duatis joined the European Space Agency (ESA) as a Software Product Assurance Engineer. Jordi provided support to several ESA projects, including SmallGEO, Solar Orbiter, VEGA-C, and ORION MPCV/ESM. Their role involved ensuring the projects achieved their objectives within time and budget constraints.

Since 2018, Duatis has been working at EUMETSAT as a Projects and Engineering Coordinator. Jordi is responsible for supporting EUMETSAT projects, including the MTG, Sentinel-3, Sentinel-6, MetOp SG (EPS-SG), Aeolus, and Sterna programs. Their role involves coordinating project and engineering activities within the Technical and Scientific Support Department.

Jordi Duatis has a strong educational background in the field of computer software engineering. Jordi started their education in 1990 and completed their Computer Engineer degree in Informàtica de Sistemes from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 1995. During this time, they focused on subjects such as computer software engineering, microprocessors, microcontrollers, and software engineering.

Jordi continued their studies and earned a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya between 2004 and 2008. In this program, they further specialized in computer software engineering.

In 2009, Jordi Duatis pursued their passion for systems engineering, fault diagnosis, industrial informatics, and software agents by enrolling in the Systems Engineering, Fault Diagnosis, Industrial Informatics, and Software Agents Ph.D. program at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Jordi successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in 2015, further enhancing their knowledge and expertise in their chosen fields.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Jordi has obtained a certification as a Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant in November 2021 from Scaled Agile, Inc. This certification demonstrates their proficiency in the Scaled Agile Framework and their ability to guide organizations in implementing Agile practices at scale.
