Michele Viapiano

Michele Viapiano has extensive work experience in the field of telecommunications and space engineering. michele began their career at Thales Alenia Space as a Telecommunications Engineer in 2004. michele then joined Space Engineering, where they held roles as a System Engineer and an AIT Engineer of Active Calibrator and Galileo Rymsa antennas. In 2007, Michele worked as a Globalstar 2 AIV/AIT Payload Engineer at Thales Alenia Space as a consultant. michele later moved to LuxSpace Sàrl, where they served as the SGEO TT&R Engineering Manager and Deputy of the Payload and Antenna Department. Currently, they are employed at EUMETSAT as a System Telecommunication and Verification Engineer.

Michele Viapiano earned a Master Post-Degree in Space Technology for Remote Sensing from the Department of Physics of Bari in 2003-2004. Under the supervision of Professor Luciano Guerriero, the degree focused on acquiring knowledge in satellite subsystems, image and signal processing, and synthetic aperture radar. Prior to that, from 1995 to 2002, Michele obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics from the same department, specializing in laser and optical engineering.
