Philip Mwathi

Philip Mwathi is an experienced investment consultant at East Century Capital since December 2018, specializing in deal sourcing, structuring, execution, and due diligence. Prior to this role, Philip served as Senior Risk Manager at Astra Insurance Brokers (T) Ltd from October 2006 to November 2018, where responsibilities included the development of risk management strategies and compliance assessments. Philip began a career in underwriting as an intern at American Life Insurance Co. Kenya in 2002. Academically, Philip holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi, complemented by education from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
