Edoardo Colzani

Edoardo Colzani is a seasoned public health expert with extensive experience at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since May 2011, where roles include Principal Expert and Group Leader for Coronavirus and Influenza, as well as Principal Expert for Vaccine-preventable Diseases. Responsibilities encompass scientific advisory work on vaccines, project management related to communicable diseases, and coordination of guidance on prevention and control strategies. Previously, Edoardo contributed to the Burden of Communicable Diseases in Europe project as a Scientific Officer, and held academic positions at Karolinska Institutet, University of Milano-Bicocca, and Bocconi University. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology from Karolinska Institutet, among several other degrees in Medicine and Public Health.
