Kate Olsson

Expert Vaccine-preventable Diseases at ECDC

Kate Olsson has extensive experience in the field of public health and epidemiology, currently serving as an Expert in Vaccine-Preventable Diseases at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since May 2016, with roles including Scientific Officer for Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Disease Programme Coordination Manager. Previously, Kate held positions such as Clinic Coordinator with Läkare i Världen / Doctors of the World Sweden and Program Development Officer for the Adolescent Health Program at the Secretariat of the Pacific Community. Earlier career experiences include working as a Case Manager for the Australian Red Cross and as a Principal Guardian at the Justice & Attorney Generals Department. Kate holds a Master of International Public Health with merit from the University of Sydney and degrees in Psychology and Arts from The Australian National University.
