André Capitão

André Capitão is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in software development and engineering, currently employed at the European Commission since May 2022, focusing on the Eudamed project for medical devices. Prior to this, André worked at Talkdesk developing electronic health record integrations for the US market and held various positions at BNP Paribas Securities Services, where responsibilities included developing Java-based applications and mentoring teams while adopting agile practices. Earlier roles include IT Consultant at Opensoft and Full Stack Engineer at the University of Coimbra. André holds a Master of Science in Informatics Engineering from Universidade de Coimbra, a Bachelor of Science in Networking and Telecommunications Engineering from Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão, and an Executive Master in Applied Business Analytics from INDEG-IUL ISCTE. Technical expertise encompasses microservices, Kotlin, Spring WebFlux, and a variety of Java technologies.
