Prof. Dr. Alexander Golland

Prof. Dr. Alexander Golland is a Full Professor of Economic Law & Digitalization at Aachen University of Applied Sciences since January 2022, contributing to the Faculty of Business Studies. Alongside this role, Golland serves as Of Counsel at PwC Deutschland and has extensive experience in data protection, privacy, and cyber security through various positions, including Editor at Datenschutz-Berater and External Expert for the European Data Protection Board. With a strong academic involvement, Golland lectures on Data Protection Law at both FernUniversität in Hagen and Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg. Additional roles include Network Lead at JUC Deutschland GmbH and Scientific Advisor at LegalCheck. Golland has previously worked as an attorney-at-law at PwC Deutschland and as a trainee solicitor at Land NRW.
