Charlotte Bakker

Pharmacovigilance Officer at European Medicines Agency

Charlotte Bakker is an experienced pharmacovigilance officer at the European Medicines Agency since September 2020, where responsibilities have included work in both the Pharmacovigilance Office and the Translational Sciences Office. Previously, Charlotte served as a research physician and project leader at the Centre for Human Drug Research from January 2016 to October 2023 and conducted research as a PhD candidate at Maastricht University in 2015. Early medical training included roles as an intensive care resident at Maasstadziekenhuis from September 2011 to August 2014 and as a paediatric resident at St. Franciscus Gasthuis from June 2010 to September 2011. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Leiden University obtained between January 2016 and September 2021 and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Erasmus University Rotterdam completed in March 2010. Charlotte's foundational education was completed at Zwijsen College Veghel, graduating in 2003.
