Michael Zur Muehlen

Michael zur Muehlen serves as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at Stevens Institute of Technology since August 2002, driving curriculum innovation in graduate business education with a focus on technology and AI. Alongside this role, zur Muehlen is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and leads the Center for Business Process Innovation. As a faculty trustee on the Stevens Board of Trustees, zur Muehlen participates in various committees, overseeing 13 graduate programs with over 1,600 students. Additional roles include managing principal at BPM Research LLC, visiting professorships at multiple universities, and consultancy work with esteemed organizations like the U.S. Department of Defense and Goldman Sachs. Zur Muehlen holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Münster, where research and earlier teaching efforts concentrated on business process modeling and workflow management.
