Jorge Miguel Ramos de Almeida

Jorge Miguel Ramos de Almeida is an experienced project manager and scientist with a robust background in immunology and clinical project management. Currently serving as a Project Manager at the European Vaccine Initiative since December 2023, Jorge previously held the position of Clinical Project Manager at Convert Pharmaceuticals from December 2020 to November 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Covid-19 Laboratory Analyst at Maastricht UMC+, Senior Scientist at CyTuVax B.V., and a Post-Doc Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, where technology for deep sequencing T cell immune repertoires was developed. Jorge holds a PhD in Immunology from Pierre and Marie Curie University, with a research focus on CD8 T cell responses in HIV-1 infection, complemented by a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Lisbon.
