Eric van der Schild

Eric van der Schild is an experienced professional currently serving as a Confidential Counsellor and Chair of the Europol Financial Intelligence Public Private Partnership (EFIPPP), alongside managing the EFIPPP, which facilitates transnational information sharing against financial crimes. Since joining Europol in January 2017, Eric has held roles including Relation & Innovation Officer and Acting Team Leader within the Financial Intelligence Unit. Previously, Eric worked at the National High Tech Crime Unit, leading projects against cybercrime and overseeing the Electronic Crimes Task Force. Eric's extensive experience in the Dutch police force includes various leadership roles addressing human trafficking, criminal investigations, and organizational management. Eric has a strong educational background in law, management, and accountancy, with certifications from leading institutions including the Dutch Police Academy and Deloitte Nederland.
