Ionut Serbanica is an experienced analyst currently serving as a Senior Analyst at the European Commission since May 2022. With a long tenure at Europol as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst starting in September 2010, Ionut Serbanica also worked as a Scientific Analyst at the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction from May 2019 to June 2022. Previously, Ionut Serbanica held the position of Intelligence Analyst at the Ministry of Administration and Interior in Bucharest, Romania, from March 2004 to September 2010. Ionut Serbanica holds a Master’s degree in Security Studies from University College Dublin (2012-2014) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Al. I. Cuza Police Academy in Bucharest, Romania (1999-2003). Additional academic experience includes studies at Bucharest University in the Department of Sociology and Social Work (2006-2008).
