Head Of Unit Analysis And Strategic Coordination at Europol

Tamara Schotte has extensive work experience in various roles related to analysis, policy advising, and strategic coordination. Tamara started their career at the Senate (Belgian Parliament) as a researcher from October 1998 to June 2000. Tamara then worked as a Strategic Advisor at APSD, the Federal police Ministry Home Affairs Belgium, from 2000 to 2002. From 2002 to 2005, they served as a Strategic Analyst at the Federal Police Belgium. Tamara joined Europol in 2005, where they held the position of Head of the Strategic Analysis Team until 2017. Tamara then returned to the Federal Police Belgium as a Senior Policy Advisor Cabinet from July 2017 to July 2018. Tamara went back to Europol in August 2018, where they first worked as a Senior Policy Advisor Cabinet until November 2020 and currently holds the position of Head of Unit Analysis and Strategic Coordination from December 2020.

Tamara Schotte earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Barnum - Bisschoppelijk Lyceum der Grauwe Zuster en Franciscanessen in 1994. Tamara then went on to Ghent University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Criminology and Law in 1998. Tamara continued their education at Ghent University, completing an Advanced Master's program in European Criminology and Criminal Justice Systems from 2000 to 2002.
