Senior Android Engineer at Eurowings Digital

Daniel Nova Valcárcel has a diverse work experience in the field of Android engineering. Daniel currently holds the position of Senior Android Engineer at Eurowings Digital since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Android Engineer at DFL Digital Sports GmbH from October 2021 to June 2023. In this role, they were responsible for designing and implementing new features for the Bundesliga Android app, such as video clips streaming, statistics, and user accounts. Daniel also monitored app performance using profiling tools and reports.

Before their role at DFL Digital Sports GmbH, Daniel worked as an Android Engineer at SumUp from January 2020 to October 2021. Here, they contributed to bringing Payment Links solutions to millions of merchants worldwide, including the implementation of QR Codes, Mobile Payments, Gift cards, and other valuable features for merchants. Daniel also played a role in shaping and implementing the new SumUp.

Daniel also had a Developer Internship in the same division from March 2015 to February 2016, where they designed and implemented mobile applications using the Android platform.

Daniel Nova Valcárcel pursued their education in a methodical manner, beginning their studies at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2008. Daniel completed their Engineer's Degree in Systems Engineering in 2013, after five years of dedicated study. Their academic journey continued with a desire to further enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of Computer Science. From 2014 to 2019, they enrolled in the Politecnico di Milano, where they successfully earned their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science. Throughout their education, Daniel demonstrated a strong commitment to their studies, which undoubtedly contributed to their academic achievements.
