Asanga Wedisinghe

Asanga Wedisinghe has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Asanga started their career at Hughes Network Systems in 1997, where they worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, focusing on DSP based modem development. In 2007, they joined ObjectVideo as a Hardware Solutions Manager/Product Manager, leading the rapid development of a low-cost reference design for an Intelligent Occupancy Sensor.

In 2009, Asanga joined Boeing as an MTS, DSP Engineering, before moving on to Ligado Networks in 2010. At Ligado Networks, they served as the Technical Director, Satellite Systems Engineering, responsible for ground-based beam forming, systems analysis, testing, and enhancements.

In 2012, they joined Sirius XM Radio Inc. as a Senior Principal Engineer and later became a Senior Lead Principal Engineer/Vice President. Finally, in 2017, Asanga joined OneWeb as the Director, System Architecture and Engineering, before being promoted to Senior Director, Systems Engineering, and then to their current role as VP, System Architecture and Engineering.

Asanga Wedisinghe holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Washington University McKelvey School of Engineering. The specific start and end years for each degree program are not provided.
