Jacqueline (Holt) Sugihara has a diverse work experience. Jacqueline started their career as a Fund Development Intern at the Office of Development - Emanuel Medical Center in 2010. Jacqueline then worked as an Online Fund Development and Marketing Manager at GreatNonprofits, where they planned and coordinated fundraising events and increased awareness of the organization. From 2011 to 2012, they served as a Community Manager at Stanford University, organizing social and educational events and improving house conditions. In 2012, they joined Apple, Inc. as an Apple Store Leader Program Associate, providing training and development to store employees. Jacqueline later became the Director of Annual Giving at California State University, Stanislaus, where they built relationships with community members to promote the university. In 2016, they became the Manager of Donor Engagement and Stewardship at Evangelical Covenant Church, and in 2019, they were promoted to Director of Ministry Services, Operations at the same organization, overseeing the governance structure. Recently, in 2020, they worked as a Community Coordinator at Emerging Leaders Initiative.

Jacqueline (Holt) Sugihara obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology: Healthcare, Business, and Organizational Development from Stanford University.
