Jason Thomas has an extensive career in law enforcement, beginning with service in the US Army as a Sergeant and Military Police from December 1991 to December 1996. Following military service, Jason worked as a Loss Prevention Manager for Kmart Corporation before joining the Evansville Police Department in September 1999, where current roles include Lieutenant and CALEA Manager. Jason has held various positions within the department, such as Sergeant and K-9 Unit Supervisor. Additionally, Jason serves as President of the United States Police Canine Association Inc. - Region 5, promoting the certification of Police Canine teams in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, and previously held the same position at the Southern Indiana Police Canine Association Inc. Jason also served as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard, demonstrating a strong commitment to service throughout a diverse career in law enforcement and military. Education includes studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the University of Southern Indiana.
