Stine Friis Thorsen has a diverse work experience. In 2006, they completed a spring semester in Neuroscience at the University of Nottingham. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a research assistant at H. Lundbeck A/S, where they conducted biological evaluation of a drug development compound, and completed their Master's thesis on lipopolysaccharide-induced cytokine production in the brain and plasma. During this time, they were also a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. From 2009 to 2011, they had several research stays at Olink Bioscience, where they were trained in the procedures behind the proximity ligation/extension assay (PLA/PEA) and collaborated on several research projects. From 2009 to 2013, they worked at Novo Nordisk, where they held various roles, including International Trial Manager, Quality Coordinator, Supply Chain Planner, and Clinical Supplies Coordinator. From 2013 to 2020, they worked as a Medical Advisor in Oncology at Novartis Danmark. Currently, they are a Senior Clinical Project Manager at Evaxion Biotech A/S.

Stine Friis Thorsen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology-biotechnology from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen between 2002 and 2006. Stine Friis then went on to obtain a Master of Science (MSc) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same institution between 2006 and 2009. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Pathobiology (cancer) from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen between 2009 and 2013. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in PRINCE2 Foundation from Rovsing Management A/S, DK-2100 Copenhagen Ø in 2013, Isotopteknik / Isotope techniques from University of Copenhagen by Jørgen Gomme in 2007, Laboratory animal sciences for category B of the Council of Europe's resolution of December 3 1993. from University of Copenhagen by Axel Kornerup Hansen in 2005, and Good Clinical Practice from Brookwood International Academy.
