Bud Summers

Bud Summers has a wealth of experience in the nursery industry. Bud served as the Chief Operating Officer at Everde Growers starting in December 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Vice President of Southwest Operations at Tree Town USA / Village Nurseries / Hines Growers from February 2019. Bud also worked as the Vice President of Southern Village Nurseries and Hines Growers Inc at Tree Town USA in 2018 and as the Vice President of Southern CA Operations at Village Nurseries in 2018. From 2012 to 2018, Bud served as the Vice President of Operations Western Region at Color Spot Nurseries and Hines Growers Inc. Bud also held various roles at Color Spot Nurseries, including Executive Vice President and COO from October 2013 to March 2017 and Critical Projects Manager from November 2012 to October 2013. Additionally, Bud worked as a Nursery Business Leader Consultant from August 2012 to November 2012. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Vice President Operations at Berry Family of Nurseries, LLC from March 2009 to August 2012. Bud also has their own company, Flora Business Solutions, LLC, where they worked as the President from January 2008 to July 2009. Lastly, Bud held the position of Vice President of Operations at Hines Horticulture from an unspecified date in 2000 to 2007. Throughout their career, Bud has demonstrated their expertise in improving productivity, increasing profitability, and managing large-scale operations in the nursery industry.

Bud Summers earned their PhD and MS degrees in Horticulture, Entomology, and Bio-Statistics from the University of Maryland between 1978 and 1984.
