Debbie Gibbons

Debbie Gibbons is an experienced educator with a focus on reading intervention and instruction. Currently serving as a Reading Interventionist and previously as an Elementary School Teacher and 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher at Evergreen Park School District 124 since August 2015, Debbie has contributed significantly to students' literacy development. Prior experience includes roles as an Elementary School Teacher and Reading Specialist at Northwest School District 124 from August 1998 to August 2015, where Debbie played a key role in creating a program for identifying at-risk students. Additionally, Debbie served as an Adjunct Instructor at St. Xavier University, teaching classroom reading instruction and assessment to aspiring teachers. Debbie holds a Master's degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities from DePaul University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Illinois Chicago.
