Andy Alexander

Andy Alexander possesses over 21 years of experience in the electrical engineering field, specializing in distribution engineering and analytics. Currently, Andy serves as the Director of Distribution Engineering at Evergy, a position held since July 2018, following a series of roles including Senior Manager positions in Distribution Engineering and Analytics, T&D Strategy, and Distribution Design and Training. Prior experience includes a decade at Kansas City Power & Light with managerial responsibilities in central design and compliance, as well as supervisory roles in construction, maintenance, and field design. Additional experience includes a position as Operations Supervisor and Distribution Design Engineer at Aquila, and as a Distribution Design Engineer for the City of Columbia Water & Light. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, attained in 2002.
