Christian May

Christian May is currently serving as the Manager of Operations Standards at Evergy, beginning in July 2023, where leadership of a team focused on developing and deploying Distribution Construction Standards takes place. Prior to this role, Christian May worked as a Sales Engineer at K D Johnson Inc. from July 2020 to July 2023, supporting electrical equipment manufacturers and customers. Christian May also has experience as a Standards Engineer at Evergy from May 2018 to June 2020, developing and implementing combined company standards. An internship at Westar Energy from May 2016 to May 2018 involved material database maintenance and standard review in preparation for a merger. Christian May holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University (2020-2022) and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University (2014-2018).
