Leah Howell, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Leah is currently the Director of Learning Design at Everspring Inc. since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Executive Function Coach at Beyond BookSmart starting from September 2020. From April 2019 to May 2021, Leah served as the Director of Health, Wellness, and Accountability at Alpha Phi International Fraternity. Leah also held positions such as Associate Dean of Students at Franklin College from August 2018 to April 2019, and Assistant Dean of Students at Bowling Green State University from July 2016 to August 2018. Leah's experience also includes multiple roles at the University of Cincinnati, including Adjunct Faculty from January 2011 to July 2016, Program Manager for Fraternity & Sorority Life, Student Activities & Leadership Development from August 2012 to June 2016, and Assistant Academic Director at McMicken College of Arts & Sciences from August 2010 to June 2012. Prior to their time at the University of Cincinnati, Leah worked as an Advisor in Student Services at Davenport University from January 2009 to August 2010. Leah'searly career experience includes serving as a Graduate Assistant and Intern at Eastern Michigan University from July 2006 to July 2008.
Leah Howell, Ph.D. earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Development and Learning Sciences from the University of Cincinnati, where they attended from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree in Community Planning and Social Action from Wayne State University, attending from 1997 to 1999. Leah Howell also holds several additional certifications, including being a Civil Rights Investigator (L2) through the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) and a Strengths Quest Facilitator through Gallup Education. Leah is also certified as a Safe Zone Facilitator by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapist Board.
