Ashwin Rai

Ashwin Rai has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Ashwin is currently working as the Director of Data Science & Advanced Analytics at Evidera. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager of Data Science at Strata Decision Technology from 2020 to 2021.

From 2016 to 2020, Ashwin worked at PRA Health Sciences, starting as a Senior Data Scientist before being promoted to Principal Data Scientist and then Senior Principal Data Scientist. In this role, they were involved in conducting statistical analysis and machine learning on big data, developing machine learning models, and working on HEOR & Real World Evidence projects for pharmaceutical clients.

Before joining PRA Health Sciences, Ashwin worked as a Data Scientist II at Solomon Consulting, where they applied statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learning on clinical data for resolving Real World Evidence problems. Additionally, they have experience as an Optimization Engineer and Data Scientist at Adknowledge, where they conducted statistical data analysis and modeling for digital advertising.

Ashwin's earlier work experience includes roles as an ETL/DwH Analyst Programmer and ETL Analyst at Accenture, where they were involved in the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouses. Ashwin also worked as an Informatica Developer at Mahindra Satyam, specializing in ETL mappings and performance tuning.

Ashwin Rai completed their Master's degree in Predictive Analytics at Northwestern University from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Ashwin has also completed two additional certifications. In 2013, they obtained the certification "An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python" from Rice University. In the same year, they also obtained the "Passion Driven Statistics" certification from Wesleyan University.
