Marielle Bassel has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Marielle started their career as a Volunteer Research Assistant at the John R.Z. Abela, Montreal Institute for Research on Youth Depression in 2005. Following that, they worked as a Research Coordinator at The Behavioural Health Research Group from 2008 to 2012. At UBC: An Express Scripts Company, they served as a Research Scientist, specializing in Value Demonstration, from 2012 to 2017. Currently, they are employed at Evidera, where they have held multiple roles. Marielle started as a Senior Research Associate, specializing in Real-World Evidence, from 2017 to 2019. Later, they were promoted to the position of Research Scientist and provided scientific oversight for Evidera's Non-Interventional Study team in the Real-World Evidence group. Most recently, they have served as the Director of Scientific and Strategic Affairs at Evidera since October 2021.
Marielle Bassel completed their high school education at Bialik between 1995 and 2000. Marielle then pursued a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Social Sciences from Dawson College, which they obtained between 2000 and 2002. Marielle continued their education at McGill University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from 2002 to 2006.
