René Martinez

René Martinez has nearly 25 years of experience in the field of information assurance and cyber security. Starting in 1994 at Booz Allen Hamilton, they served as an acquisition IA subject matter expert for various Program Offices within the SPAWAR Command. From 2006 to 2008, Martinez worked as a senior consultant for Tele-Consultants, Inc., where they provided cyber security and accreditation services for Navy Defense Systems. René then joined X-Feds in 2008 as a senior information assurance engineer, specializing in DoD IA certification and accreditation. In 2011, Martinez transitioned to Sentek Global, where they worked until 2018 as a Senior Information Assurance/Cyber Security Engineer and Project Manager, primarily supporting the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Command as a Navy Certifying Authority (CA) Liaison. Currently, they are with Evoke Consulting, LLC as a Senior Schedule Management Advisor, responsible for integrated master scheduling and ensuring accurate reflection of requirements for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) Program Management Office (PMO).

René Martinez received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from Xavier University of Louisiana. René completed their education from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, they hold a certification in Security+ from CompTIA.
