John Anthony has extensive experience in the field of systems engineering, working for various companies in different industries. John started their career as a Year In Industry Engineering Internship at QinetiQ in 2002. After completing their internship, they joined Rolls-Royce as an Electrical Engineer, specializing in the conceptual design of electrical machines. John worked on designing high-performance permanent magnet motors and generators for various applications. In 2013, they moved to UKAEA, Culham, where they developed systems engineering processes and requirements for the future European demonstration fusion power plant development project. John also contributed to growing the systems engineering capability within the organization. In 2016, they joined YASA: e-motors for hybrid and electric vehicles as a Systems Manager, responsible for managing customer and internal product requirements and facilitating motor DFMEA. Currently, they work as a System Engineer at Evolito Ltd, where they are responsible for system architecting, requirements decomposition, and verification of 'standard' motor and controller products.
John Anthony attended Torquay Boys Grammar School from 1995 to 2002. John then pursued a General Engineering (MEng) degree at the University of Cambridge from 2003 to 2007. Afterwards, John completed a Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) at the Marine Technology Education Consortium (MTEC) from 2008 to 2013, specializing in Marine Technology.
